SEAN MACKAOUI

Sean Mackaoui was born in Switzerland, but he is not Swiss. This anglo-lebanese arrived in Madrid 30 years ago armed with a small pair of scissors and a box of cut outs. He has had the great fortune to continue cutting and pasting. His box of cut outs is now the patriarch of a great family. Mister Mackaoui divides his time between constructing collages for national and international newspapers and magazines. He also loses himself in his own world of collages and objects that, at times, populate art galleries. For the last decade Sean has also been designing sets and costumes for National and Municipal theatres in Nordic countries. He is an Honorary Director of the San Francisco Collage Museum, USA.
